In the fall of 2004, during the production of The Tenants, Eclectic Pictures was born. The idea was to launch a company whose mantra was to be diverse in slate and yet marry the commercial and the artistic aspects of filmmaking in our quest for excellence.
Striking a 3-Picture First-Look deal with Nu Image/ Millennium Films fueled Eclectic Pictures to set up a development department to find quality projects and finesse ones already in the hopper.
Currently, we have more than a dozen various genre projects in development. Eclectic Pictures is constantly on the search for quality material. Aside from thrillers, we are looking to do romantic comedies, action, horror, comedy-action, and potentially dramas with a heartfelt strong story line. More specifically, we are seeking stories based on books and plays; talent-attached projects; environmentally-themed political thrillers; and remakes of U.S. and foreign films.
The power of any production company is in their ability to develop projects to their fullest potential. Eclectic is committed to developing great stories regardless of genre that will withstand the test of time.
